## Synopsis

Hex (2004-2005) is a British supernatural fantasy drama series created by Jake Michie, Peter Tabern, Lucy Watkins and Julian Jones for Sky One. Shy college student Cassie Hughes (Christina Cole) longs to be accepted by her peers, but her truest support comes from her best friend Thelma Bates (Jemima Rooper). As Cassie begins to discover dangerous powers within herself, she is pulled into a hidden world of witchcraft that she cannot control, and the story follows her attempts to master that inheritance while keeping her friendships intact. The central romantic thread draws her toward a man she should fear most, giving the drama a charged, dread-tinged undercurrent alongside its coming-of-age heart. Set in a contemporary British boarding school milieu, the series unfolds across two seasons and nineteen episodes, with the mystery of its supernatural order gradually deepening. Its tone blends wistful teen melodrama with eerie, romantic menace, and fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Being Human and Charmed will find a similar mix of youthful vulnerability, witchy mythology and forbidden attraction.
