## Synopsis

Codename: Kids Next Door (2002-2007) is an American animated action comedy created by Tom Warburton for Cartoon Network. Five extraordinary ten-year-olds, going by numbers rather than names, form a covert organization whose mission is to free all children from the tyrannical rule of adults. Numbuh 1 (voiced by Ben Diskin) leads the team, with Numbuh 2 also voiced by Diskin, alongside Lauren Tom as Numbuh 3, Dee Bradley Baker as Numbuh 4 and Cree Summer as Numbuh 5. Each eleven-minute episode is a self-contained mission built from gadgets, spy-movie tropes and escalating absurd set pieces, with the kids approaching grown-up villainy with straight-faced seriousness. The six-season run stays brisk and playful, with a tongue-in-cheek sensibility that rewards both children and adults. Its irreverent, whimsical energy and bright colors recall the frantic cartoon comedy of Invader Zim, Totally Spies! and Dexter's Laboratory, and fans of those shows will find the same blend of kid-powered rebellion and gadget-fueled mayhem. Viewers looking for a lighthearted family animation with a playful spy twist will find it here.
