## Synopsis

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a long-running American cable sitcom about four self-absorbed friends who run a grimy Irish pub in Philadelphia. Charlie, Dennis, Mac, and Dee chase get-rich schemes, petty grudges, and shallow romantic goals, and nearly every plan backfires into a bigger disaster. Frank, Dennis and Dee's disreputable father, joins the group and keeps stirring up trouble. Each half-hour is self-contained, but the rivalries and bonds between the characters carry across the years, so the chaos steadily compounds. The tone is sardonic, abrasive, and deliberately offensive, a warped blend of cringe comedy and bleak gags that rarely makes its characters likable. The single-camera style is loose and unpolished, and the setting is a cramped, familiar backdrop for ever-worsening scams. Viewers who enjoy Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, and Seinfeld will recognize its self-absorbed ensemble and its unapologetic appetite for awkward humiliation.
