## Synopsis

What I Like About You (2002-2006) is an American network sitcom created by Wil Calhoun and Dan Schneider for The WB. Valerie Tyler (Jennie Garth) is a 28-year-old who prizes order and planning, and her life gets disrupted when her 16-year-old sister Holly (Amanda Bynes) moves into her New York apartment. Holly is rambunctious, spontaneous, and impulsive, and every episode is built around the collisions between Valerie's neat routines and Holly's schemes. Supporting roles include Wesley Jonathan as Gary Thorpe and Nick Zano as Vince, along with Simon Rex as Jeff Campbell, whose presence adds romantic and social tangles to the household. The show runs four seasons and 86 episodes, with a case-of-the-week structure that gives each story its own mishap and resolution while the sisters' relationship slowly deepens. The setting is a contemporary Manhattan apartment life, bright and breezy, with a light, affectionate tone. Fans of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Friends and Full House will find resonance in its family comedy warmth, sibling bickering, and youthful New York energy.
