## Synopsis

Dirt is an American television drama broadcast on FX and created by Matthew Carnahan. Courteney Cox stars as Lucy Spiller, the ambitious editor-in-chief of DirtNow, a newly merged glossy tabloid magazine born from two rival publications, drrt and Now. Her drive to win the celebrity news market pulls her into constant clashes with the people around her, including managing editor Don Konkey (Ian Hart), writer Holt McLaren (Josh Stewart), and reporter Willa McPherson (Alexandra Breckenridge), each of whom has a stake in how far the magazine should go to get its story. The engine of the series is the weekly pressure of the newsroom: chasing exclusives, spinning damaging stories about celebrities, and weighing career gains against personal fallout. Each episode is built around a new scoop and the compromises it demands, so the arc unfolds as a serialized Hollywood workplace drama. Set in contemporary Los Angeles, the show captures the glamour of celebrity culture alongside its seedier undercurrents. Its tone is brash, glossy, and cynical, with an acidic edge that recalls The Devil Wears Prada and the media-satire energy of Entourage. Adult viewers who enjoy sharp, morally murky portraits of the entertainment press will find it engaging.
