## Synopsis

Felicity (1998-2002) is an American college romance series created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves for The WB. Keri Russell stars as Felicity Porter, a sensitive, intelligent young woman from the San Francisco Bay Area who gives up a Stanford pre-med slot to follow her long-time crush to New York City. Her engine is the push and pull of her own desires: she wants to build a new life and a clear romantic future, while her feelings are split between her crush and Ben Covington (Scott Speedman), the dorm resident advisor who becomes her romantic rival and partner. Scott Foley and Amanda Foreman round out the principal ensemble of classmates and friends. Across four seasons and 84 episodes, the show moves through the rhythms of college life: dorm politics, classes, part-time jobs, roommates, and the messy ups and downs of early adulthood. Its tone is earnest, warm, and wistful, with a soft melancholy running under its romantic comedy and drama. Fans of Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls will find the same blend of youthful sincerity and emotional tangles that defined the WB teen-drama era.
