## Synopsis

The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1993-1996) is a American kids comedy series created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi for Nickelodeon. Two redheaded brothers, both named Pete, are the heart of the show: Big Pete Wrigley (Michael C. Maronna) narrates their stories while Little Pete Wrigley (Danny Tamberelli) gets pulled into one odd predicament after another. Their parents Joyce (Judy Grafe) and Don Wrigley (Hardy Rawls) keep a watchful but affectionate eye on the household, while neighbor Ellen Hickle (Alison Fanelli) and the enigmatic Artie (Toby Huss) add further texture to the town. Across three seasons of thirteen episodes each, the show runs as a series of self-contained stories rather than one long arc, so each episode is built from everyday life that drifts into the surreal: a school errand, a neighborhood mystery, a bit of invented mischief. The tone is sincere, whimsical and warm, with a deadpan streak and a soundtrack of 90s alternative music that gives it a distinctly nineties feel. Fans of Twin Peaks, The Wonder Years and Wishbone will find resonance in its blend of small town oddness, childhood perspective and gentle heart. Set in the fictional town of Wellsville, it is a classic cozy comedy for kids and the adults who remember it.
