## Synopsis

Long Way Round (2004) is a British travel documentary miniseries broadcast on Sky One, following actors Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, two old friends who set out to ride motorcycles roughly 20,000 miles across twelve countries and nineteen time zones in just 115 days. The engine of the show is the sheer distance itself: the riders must keep their bikes running, find their way through unfamiliar borders and terrain, and hold their friendship together under fatigue and uncertainty while chasing a shared dream. Each episode is built from road days, roadside encounters, mechanical setbacks and the small rituals of camping and crossing new landscapes. Presented as a single seven-episode run of one-hour installments, it moves through a continuous journey rather than separate stories, so the sense of progress builds steadily from start to finish. Its tone is warm, sincere and breezy, with an undercurrent of adventurous wonder and camaraderie. The look is one of sweeping global geography captured from the saddle. Fans of Long Way Down, Top Gear and Race Across the World will find resonance in its blend of travel, friendship and physical challenge, all grounded in real journeys rather than fiction.
