## Synopsis

Redwall (1999-2002) is a British-Canadian-French animated fantasy series created by Brian Jacques for Teletoon and produced with Nelvana, Alphanim and BBC. Adapted from the beloved children's novels of Brian Jacques, it follows a young mouse novice whose peaceful abbey comes under threat from marauding invaders. Over three seasons of thirteen episodes each, the story pushes him to learn the destiny that makes him the successor to a great warrior, and to face battles he never trained for while protecting the friends and community he loves. The engine of each episode is a clear quest: gathering allies, defending walls, and uncovering the past that binds the abbey's residents together. Its animation is hand-drawn in a storybook style, with a storybook warmth that pairs gentle devotion with real peril. Its tone is earnest and adventurous, carrying a sense of courage, loyalty and community that suits younger audiences. Fans of Watership Down, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Lord of the Rings will find resonance in its animal characters, moral clarity and epic, hopeful quest structure. Its three seasons form one continuing story with a rated, consistent quality from start to finish.
