## Synopsis

Invasion (2005-2006) is an American science fiction mystery drama series created by Thomas Schlamme and Michael Dinner for ABC. Eddie Cibrian plays Florida park ranger Russell Varon, whose family life is thrown into turmoil in the aftermath of a hurricane. Alongside his wife Larkin Groves, played by Lisa Sheridan, and their children, including Evan Peters as Jesse Varon, Russell confronts strange occurrences in the water, among them luminescent creatures that seem to belong to no known world. As neighbors begin acting subtly different, the household must decide whom to trust. Sheriff Tom Underlay, played by William Fichtner, and his family become entangled in the unease spreading through the community. The series is a single season of 22 episodes, a serialized mystery that builds dread through small domestic details and the slow erosion of certainty. Its tone is eerie and paranoid, with a grounded, rain-soaked Gulf Coast atmosphere. Fans of Survivors, The X-Files and Under the Dome will find resonance in its blend of uncanny threat and human suspicion.
