## Synopsis

Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil (2005-2007) is an American adult animated comedy created by Loren Bouchard for Adult Swim. Melissa Bardin Galsky voices Lucy, a twenty-one-year-old who is the daughter of Satan, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin, and her life in the underworld becomes a stream of awkward family encounters, petty bureaucracy and crude social mishaps. The engine of the show is Lucy's attempt to live an ordinary young adult life while her father and the infernal world keep pulling her back into their absurd routines. Its eleven short episodes, each around twelve minutes, are self-contained comic vignettes rather than a continuing plot, delivered in a single season. Set in a stylized, cheaply rendered hell, the series plays out as a deadpan, irreverent satire with sardonic and breezy tones, built on dark humor and adult jokes. The cast also includes Sam Seder, Eugene Mirman and Jon Glaser. Fans of Futurama, Sealab 2021 and Aqua Teen Hunger Force will find a kindred sense of crude, anarchic Adult Swim humor here.
