## Synopsis

Rubicon (2010) is a US AMC conspiracy thriller series created by Jason Horwitch, a single-season limited run of thirteen 45-minute episodes that was canceled after its first season. Intelligence analyst Will Travers, played by James Badge Dale, works at a national think tank in New York City called the American Policy Institute, where he specializes in spotting patterns in data. When a colleague's mysterious death draws his attention, Travers begins to suspect that he may be working alongside members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale. Jessica Ann Collins plays Maggie Young, and Miranda Richardson plays Katherine Rhumor, two figures whose loyalties and motives Travers must weigh as he digs deeper. Each episode is built from careful file reading, quiet interviews, and tense conversations in offices and safe houses rather than explosive action. The tone is cerebral, paranoid, and deliberately slow, with dread gathering through what is left unsaid. Fans of Three Days of the Condor and Person of Interest will find resonance in its lone analyst pursuing hidden power structures through the fog of institutional secrecy.
