## Synopsis

You're Beautiful (2009) is a South Korean television romantic comedy miniseries created by Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran for SBS. Aspiring nun Go Mi-nam (Park Shin-hye) covers for her twin brother by stepping into his place in a boy band, and the engine of the show is the constant risk that her disguise will collapse under the scrutiny of her bandmates. Jang Keun-suk plays band member Hwang Tae-kyung, and Jung Yong-hwa plays Kang Shin-woo, whose friendship and rivalry with her character shape much of the drama. Across sixteen episodes of roughly an hour each, the series moves through rehearsals, television appearances, rising fame, and a tangle of romantic feelings that sharpens as the lies pile up. Set in the contemporary Seoul celebrity and idol scene, it is a self-contained miniseries with a lively, breezy tone. Its mix of slapstick disguise situations, bromance-style male friendship, and wistful romance will appeal to viewers who enjoyed Boys Over Flowers, Hana Yori Dango and Coffee Prince.
