## Synopsis

Pit Bulls and Parolees (2009-2022) is a American reality docuseries created for the American cable network and produced by 44 Blue Productions and Rive Gauche Television. Following Tia Torres, founder of the Villalobos Rescue Center, and her family, the show observes how felons on parole and ill-reputed pit bulls are rehabilitated side by side at a working animal rescue in Southern California. Tia Torres (Self) anchors each episode as the center's guiding presence, and the engine of the series is the slow, practical work of training, caring for, and placing dogs while the parolees who handle them try to rebuild their own lives. Each episode is built from ordinary rescue tasks, from feeding and medical care to adoption and training breakthroughs, so the show moves through a steady accumulation of small victories rather than a single narrative arc. Across nineteen seasons and more than two hundred episodes, it keeps a warm, earnest register, with hopeful, sincere moments balancing the rough backgrounds of its participants. Fans of Dog Whisperer and other animal rescue reality series will find resonance here, along with viewers drawn to second chance stories told through real people. The tone stays gentle and intimate, with the dogs and the people around them remaining its emotional center throughout its long run.
