## Synopsis

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (2006-2008) is a Japanese animated mecha series produced by Sunrise and broadcast on MBS, spanning two seasons and fifty episodes. Set in an alternate history where Japan has been conquered and renamed Area 11 by the Britannian Empire, it follows Lelouch (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), an exiled prince who gains a mysterious power to command absolute obedience and secretly leads a guerrilla resistance. His childhood friend Suzaku (Takahiro Sakurai) serves in the imperial military, and the mysterious C.C. (Yukana) and rebel pilot Kallen (Ami Koshimizu) orbit his schemes. Each episode builds around battlefield maneuvers, political maneuvering inside the empire, and giant Knightmare frames clashing in combat, with a season-long chess game of deception at its core. The tone is grandiose and tense, mixing operatic melodrama with cold strategic calculation and questions of ideology and tyranny. Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam, Attack on Titan and Death Note will find resonance in its blend of mecha spectacle, morally compromised leadership and serialized political conspiracy.
