## Synopsis

Blue Mountain State (2010-2011) is a US comedy series created by Chris Romano and Eric Falconer for Spike. Three incoming freshmen at a big-time Midwestern college football program, led by Alex Moran (Darin Brooks) and Thad Castle (Alan Ritchson) alongside Sammy Cacciatore (Chris Romano), have to juggle football, girls, class and nonstop hazing. Their engine is simple and crude: survive the initiation rituals imposed by upperclassmen, chase the girls and the glory of the season, and keep the scholarship intact while the coaching staff, led by Coach Marty Daniels (Ed Marinaro), demands results. Each episode is a brisk twenty-two minute caper built from locker room pranks, party disasters and game day chaos. Across three seasons of thirteen episodes each, the show follows the same ensemble through an escalating run of rivalries and romances. The tone is irreverent, bawdy and breezy, with a deliberately juvenile energy. Fans of Animal House, Eastbound and Down and the raunchier side of campus comedy will find resonance here, in a series that treats college football as an absurd rite of passage rather than a serious sporting drama.
