## Synopsis

Iron Man (1994-1996) is a United States animated superhero series for syndicated television. Industrialist Tony Stark, voiced by Robert Hays, leads a private team of heroes as the armored Iron Man, with War Machine voiced by James Avery and Dorian Harewood, and Spider-Woman voiced by Jennifer Hale and Casey Defranco. Each episode is built as a self-contained battle against a rival such as The Mandarin, voiced by Robert Ito and Ed Gilbert, or the sorcery of Scarlet Witch, voiced by Katherine Moffat. The engine is simple: a wealthy inventor uses his technology and his team to stop schemes that threaten the world, while the team bickers and improvises under pressure. The show runs two seasons and twenty-six episodes of about twenty-one minutes each, a brisk, colorful and lightly comic adventure aimed at younger viewers. Its tone is upbeat and action driven, with bright hero-versus-villain set pieces, familiar comic book tropes and a tidy, reassuring resolution in each story. Fans of Spider-Man, X-Men and Batman: The Animated Series will find a similar mix of family friendly superhero action and classic early nineties cartoon energy.
