## Synopsis

Geniş Aile (2009-2011) is a Turkish family comedy series created by Cüneyt İnay and Kamuran Süner for Kanal D and Star TV. The show centers on the Kirişçi household, where Cevahir Kirişçi (Ufuk Özkan) and Muazzez Kirişçi (Mine Teber) anchor a crowded home that keeps filling with relatives, in-laws and friends. Rasim Öztekin plays Kuddusi Kirişçi, whose stubborn pride and everyday schemes keep stirring trouble, while Bihter Dinçel as Nazan Koçak and İlker Ayrık as Mürsel Koçak bring a sharper, more contrasting household into the mix. Fırat Tanış as Koyu Bilal adds a scruffy, unpredictable energy to the ensemble. The engine of the series is the constant friction of shared space: money worries, marriage expectations, competing loyalties and small petty rivalries that escalate into elaborate misunderstandings. Each episode is a self-contained run of domestic mishaps resolved with warmth. Across three seasons and 108 episodes, the show builds a familiar, lived-in rhythm. Set in contemporary Turkey, its tone is cozy, teasing and affectionate, with a gentle undercurrent of nostalgia for kinship. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond and Modern Family will find resonance in its multigenerational comedy of errors.
