## Synopsis

Personal Taste (2010) is a South Korean romantic comedy miniseries created by Lee Sae In and Kim Hee-ju and broadcast on MBC. Architect Jeon Jin-ho (Lee Min-ho) pretends to be gay so he can move into a historical home belonging to Park Kae-in (Son Ye-jin), a woman who does not know his real intentions. The engine of the story is the escalating awkwardness of living under one roof while keeping the lie intact, as each new housemate, relative and suitor threatens to expose him. Episodes are built from misunderstandings, staged deceptions and small domestic negotiations that grow more tender as the leads grow closer. Ahn Suk-hwan, Ryu Seung-ryong and Yoon Eun-hye round out a cast of family and rival figures who complicate the household. Presented as a single sixteen-episode limited series, the show moves through a brisk, playful register, with warm, lightly melancholic moments around identity and trust. Its architecture-rich setting gives the romance a distinctive backdrop. Fans of My Love from the Star and Coffee Prince will find resonance in its blend of disguise, banter and slow-building romance, set in a contemporary Seoul milieu of traditional and modern living.
