## Synopsis

Ancient Aliens (2010-present) is a long-running American documentary series created by Kevin Burns for History. Each episode takes up the question of whether intelligent beings from outer space visited Earth thousands of years ago, moving from the age of the dinosaurs to ancient Egypt, from early cave drawings to continued mass sightings in the United States. Rather than following a single protagonist, the format is built around a rotating panel of self-identified commentators, including Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Erich von Däniken, David Wilcock, George Noory and Nick Pope, who present first-hand accounts, speculation and grounded theories. A narrator, voiced by Robert Clotworthy, guides each segment through archaeological imagery, megalith sites, petroglyphs and ancient artifacts, pressing provocative controversies alongside the questions they raise. The series runs across twenty-two seasons of roughly forty-two minute episodes, a steady stream of standalone case-style investigations rather than one continuing story. Its tone is earnest, speculative and curious, with a mystery-driven pull that suits fans of paranormal investigation. Viewers who enjoy In Search of... and Unsolved Mysteries will find a familiar appetite for unexplained history here.
