## Synopsis

Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking (2010) is a three-episode American science documentary miniseries created by Stephen Hawking and broadcast on Discovery. Hawking appears as himself, presenting the ultimate guide to the cosmos in a format that blends on-camera explanation with dramatized scenes featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Hawking and Melissa Ricci as Laura Jesson. Each hour moves through the big questions of cosmology: how the universe began, whether alien life exists, and what physics says about the real possibility of time travel. Rather than a dry lecture, the program leans on sweeping computer-generated visualizations of galaxies, black holes and the fabric of spacetime, so the science plays like an adventure story built from real theory. The tone is awe-filled, curious and warmly accessible, inviting viewers who have never studied physics to feel the scale of space and time. Fans of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and Planet Earth II will find the same blend of spectacle, patient explanation and wonder at the natural world, all condensed into a short, self-contained viewing experience.
