## Synopsis

Outsourced (2010-2011) is an American network sitcom created by Bob Borden for NBC, a single-season workplace comedy that ran for 22 episodes of about 21 minutes each. Ben Rappaport plays Todd Dempsy, an American manager sent to open a novelties company call center in Bombay, and Rebecca Hazlewood plays Asha, one of the employees he must win over. Sacha Dhawan plays Manmeet and Rizwan Manji plays Rajiv Gidwani, both among the staff whose daily routines and family pressures pull against Todd's American assumptions. Diedrich Bader appears as Charlie Davies, adding a stateside counterweight to the office. Each episode is built from small workplace crises, such as sales targets, awkward client calls, and clashing holiday customs, with Todd trying to explain American pop culture to his team while he tries to understand Indian culture himself. The tone is light, breezy, and good-natured, with fish out of water awkwardness giving way to warmth. Fans of The Office and Parks and Recreation will find the same mix of earnest office comedy and cross cultural gentle satire.
