## Synopsis

Kickin' It (2011-2015) is an American family comedy series created by Jim O'Doherty for Disney XD. Set in a struggling neighborhood martial arts school, the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy, it follows Jack Brewer (Leo Howard), who reluctantly joins the worst dojo in its nationwide chain. Sensei Rudy Gillespie (Jason Earles) runs the place, and Jack meets a crew that includes Jerry Martinez (Mateo Arias), a tough-talking slacker, and Kim Crawford (Olivia Holt), a confident martial arts expert. Together they coach a group of neighborhood goofballs, including Milton Krupnick (Dylan Riley Snyder), in karate and in the lessons of everyday life. The engine of the show is the dojo's fight to stay open, with each episode built from lessons, sparring, and mishaps that test the crew's loyalty. Across four seasons and 85 episodes, the show stays light, breezy, and comforting, with slapstick physical comedy and an emphasis on friendship and teamwork. Its kid-friendly martial arts action and upbeat banter will appeal to fans of Cobra Kai, Lab Rats, and Good Luck Charlie who want a warm, easygoing family sitcom.
