## Synopsis

Persons Unknown (2010) is an American network mystery drama series created by Christopher McQuarrie for NBC. Across its single thirteen-episode season, the series follows a group of strangers, led by Moira Doherty (Tina Holmes) and Tori Fairchild (Kate Miner), who must come together to solve the puzzle of their own lives. Principal cast also includes Chadwick Boseman as Graham McNair, Lola Glaudini as Kat Damatto, and Alan Ruck as Charlie Morse. The engine of the show is the slow assembly of clues about why these people have been brought together and what is being done to them, with each episode layering new fragments onto a growing enigma. The show is a single continuing mystery rather than a case of the week, built as a contained, claustrophobic puzzle box. Its tone is eerie and paranoid, carrying a steady unease of being watched and steered by unseen controllers. Fans of Lost, The Prisoner and Westworld will find resonance in its cryptic design, its ensemble of strangers, and its mind bending pursuit of hidden truth. The series was rated mixed by audiences and left its story open.
