## Synopsis

Happy Endings (2011-2013) is a American network sitcom created by David Caspe for ABC. Alex Kerkovich (Elisha Cuthbert) and Dave Rose (Zachary Knighton), the perfect couple whose wedding collapses, are at the center of a tight-knit urban circle of friends. Their split leaves the group unsteady, and Jane Kerkovich-Williams (Eliza Coupe), Brad Williams (Damon Wayans Jr.), Max Blum (Adam Pally) and Penny Hartz (Casey Wilson) each have to reassess their romantic and career choices. The engine of the show is the awkward effort to keep the friendship alive while an ex-couple strikes a truce and learns to share the same social orbit. Episodes are built from quick, joke-dense exchanges about dating, careers and everyday mishaps in a modern city apartment setting. The series runs three seasons and fifty-seven episodes in a single-camera style with fast banter and a breezy, self-aware tone. Fans of Friends, How I Met Your Mother and New Girl will find resonance in its ensemble chemistry and its warm, wisecracking take on adult friendship.
