## Synopsis

Breakout Kings (2011-2012) is a American crime procedural series created by Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora for A&E. Veteran U.S. Marshals Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso) and Ray Zancanelli (Domenick Lombardozzi) lead a task force that turns to former fugitives to track down newly escaped prisoners, because they believe no one understands a runaway better than someone who has been one. Erica Reed (Serinda Swan) and Lloyd Lowery (Jimmi Simpson) are among the principal members of the team, and the engine of each episode is a hunt against the clock, with the marshals pushing against outdated methods and bureaucratic limits. The series runs for two seasons across twenty-three episodes and is built around a case-driven format with a continuing thread of cooperation and mistrust. Its tone is gritty, tense and propulsive, with a streetwise edge and a pragmatic sense of justice. Fans of Prison Break, The Fugitive and Justified will find resonance in its manhunt energy and lawman grit.
