## Synopsis

Nikita (2010-2013) is an American serialized spy action drama created by Craig Silverstein for The CW. Maggie Q plays Nikita Meers, a former assassin who was trained by a secret U.S. government agency called Division and now works to expose and destroy it. Shane West stars as Michael Bishop, a figure whose loyalties keep the mission complicated, while Lyndsy Fonseca, Aaron Stanford and Melinda Clarke fill out the principal cast. The engine of the show is cat and mouse: Nikita takes on assignments, slips between identities, and fights for the people she trusts while Division keeps pulling her back into its orbit. Each season builds a longer conspiracy around the agency, with combat set pieces, undercover infiltration and tense confrontations that drive the story forward. Running four seasons across 73 episodes, it is one continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. The visual register is sleek and kinetic, with a brooding, urgent tone and an emphasis on personal cost. Fans of Alias, Burn Notice and La Femme Nikita will find resonance in its female-led espionage and relentless momentum.
