## Synopsis

Supernatural: The Anime Series (2011) is a Japanese anime re-imagining of the American live-action show created by Eric Kripke, produced by Madhouse and Warner Bros. Japan. Across a single season of 22 twenty-five-minute episodes, brothers Sam and Dean Winchester (voiced by Yuuya Uchida and Hiroki Touchi) drive across the American countryside in a battered car, hunting ghosts, demons and other supernatural threats. Their engine is simple and personal: each case pulls them further into the danger that took their family, while their bickering loyalty keeps them moving. Episodes are built around standalone monsters, with recurring figures such as their father John Winchester (Takaya Hashi) and mentor Bobby Singer (Takashi Taniguchi) anchoring the larger arc. The tone mixes eerie, visceral horror with wry brotherly humor and a restless, road-weary melancholy. Viewers who enjoyed the original Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Hellsing Ultimate will find familiar ground in its blend of monster hunting, sibling devotion and dark supernatural atmosphere, told in a stylized anime register that gives the creatures a fresh, unsettling look.
