## Synopsis

Pioneer One (2010-2011) is an American science fiction drama series created by Josh Bernhard. Its single season of six 35-minute episodes follows Sofie Larson (Alexandra Blatt), a character at the centre of an investigation when a mysterious capsule drops back to Earth amid fears of terrorism. Alongside her, Tom Taylor (James Rich), Jane (Laura Graham), Secretary McClellan (Einar Gunn) and Dr. Zachary Walzer (Jack Haley) are drawn into a growing conflict over what the object truly is. Each episode peels back a layer of the secret, pushing the characters toward decisions that carry consequences far beyond their own government. The show is a compact, serialized limited run where every episode advances one continuous mystery rather than standing alone. Its tone is tense and paranoid, with a sober, grounded atmosphere that leans on political unease and the lingering shadow of the Cold War. Viewers who enjoy the government secrecy of The X-Files or the grounded dread of Battlestar Galactica will find a similar pull in this quiet, suspenseful story of a forgotten mission returning to haunt the present.
