## Synopsis

Samson & Gert (1990-2014) is a Flemish children's television series created by Gert Verhulst, Hans Bourlon and Danny Verbiest for VRT 1 and Ketnet. Produced by Studio 100, it follows the talking dog Samson (Danny Verbiest) and his boss Gert (Gert Verhulst), whose everyday errands, misunderstandings and small mishaps drive each episode. Walter Van de Velde plays Octaaf De Bolle, and Koen Crucke appears as Albert Vermeersch and Alberto Vermicelli, rounding out a cast of recurring characters who trade gentle jokes and light mischief. The show runs across seventeen seasons and 782 episodes of short 24-minute stories, with a continuing comic world rather than a single arc. Its tone is warm, playful and unhurried, aimed at young children and their families, with broad physical comedy and a sense of harmless absurdity. Set in a contemporary Flemish town, it carries a distinctly Belgian children's television tradition. Fans of Bluey, Sesame Street and Thomas and Friends will find similar gentle charm and affectionate humor.
