## Synopsis

The Glades (2010-2013) is an American crime drama series created by Clifton Campbell for A&E. Matt Passmore plays Jim Longworth, a Chicago detective who is pushed off the force after being shot and falsely accused, and who relocates to a small Florida town to join the state police. Kiele Sanchez plays Callie Cargill, a fellow investigator who becomes his steady partner in the field, while Carlos Gómez appears as Carlos Sanchez, adding a grounded local presence to the squad. The engine of the show is Jim's attempt to rebuild his career and reputation while working murder cases that sprawl across the swamps, marinas, and back roads of the region. Each episode is largely a self-contained investigation, giving the series a case-of-the-week rhythm, while a wider thread of personal stakes runs across its four seasons and 49 episodes. The tone is suspenseful and workmanlike, with humid atmosphere and a steady sense of dread. Viewers who enjoy Burn Notice, Bloodline, and Cold Case will find a similar blend of procedural crime and character-driven drama.
