## Synopsis

Coffee Prince (2007) is a South Korean television miniseries and k-drama romantic comedy created for MBC, running for a single season of 17 episodes. Gong Yoo plays Choi Han-kyul, an immature heir to a family company, who falls for Yoon Eun-hye's Go Eun-chan, a hardworking cafe employee who takes on a male disguise to keep her job at the coffee shop he owns. Lee Sun-kyun appears as his older brother Choi Han-sung, adding family tension to the heir's comfortable life. The engine of the show is the mounting awkwardness of a romance built on a secret: every shift, every shared chore and every misunderstanding among the cafe staff pushes the pair closer while the disguise grows harder to keep. Set in contemporary Seoul, the story balances workplace comedy with a gentle, sincere romance and close friendships among the cafe crew. Its tone is breezy, warm and youthful, with a bright, affectionate bromance texture between co-workers. Fans of Boys Over Flowers and Something in the Rain will find resonance in its mix of playful comedy, romance and heartfelt drama.
