## Synopsis

Terriers (2010) is a United States FX crime series created by Ted Griffin for FX, a single-season limited run of thirteen 45-minute episodes that was canceled after its first season. Donal Logue plays Hank Dolworth, an ex-cop and recovering alcoholic who partners with his best friend Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James), a former criminal, in an unlicensed private investigation business. Their engine is simple: they take small, messy jobs for cash while Hank struggles to stay sober and to keep his marriage and ex-police contacts from unraveling. Each episode is largely a self-contained case, from missing persons to petty schemes, that pulls the pair deeper into the seedy corners of their town. Set in a fictional Ocean Beach, San Diego, the series has a sun-bleached California backdrop that feels like a small community where everyone knows everyone. The tone blends wry dark comedy with melancholic neo noir, with a warm undercurrent of loyalty between the two leads. Fans of Veronica Mars, Chinatown and Lethal Weapon will find resonance in its mix of rueful humor, buddy chemistry and shabby detective work.
