## Synopsis

Los simuladores (2002-2003) is an Argentine comedy-crime caper series created by Damián Szifron for Telefe. Diego Peretti plays Emilio Ravenna, the charismatic leader of a small team of con artists for hire, alongside Sergio Dioguardi as Martín Vanegas, Federico D'Elía as Mario Santos, and Alejandro Fiore as Pablo Lampone. The engine of each episode is a client with an everyday life problem, a debt, a betrayal, or a humiliation, which the crew answers with an elaborate staged scheme built from disguises, fake identities, and carefully timed ruses. The format is episodic and self-contained within a two-season run of twenty-four hour-long episodes, so viewers can dip in at any point. The tone is sly, playful, and warm, with the deception itself generating much of the humor and suspense. Its themes center on ordinary people getting a measure of justice against those who wronged them. Fans of Leverage, Hustle, and The A-Team will find resonance in its clever ensemble, its satisfying reveals, and its gentle moral sense. The Argentine setting gives the capers a distinctly local flavor, grounded in the texture of contemporary Buenos Aires life.
