## Synopsis

Triumph of Love (Triunfo del amor, 2010-2011) is a Mexican telenovela created by Delia Fiallo and Liliana Abud for Univision and Las Estrellas. Victoria Ruffo plays Victoria Sandoval, a celebrated fashion designer and mother of two who is married to an actor, but whose polished life is shadowed by the absence of her daughter Maria, taken from her as a little girl. Maite Perroni plays Maria Desamparada, and William Levy plays Maximiliano Sandoval, whose presence pulls the family's emotional web tighter. Osvaldo Rios and Daniela Romo round out the principal family and rivalries. The engine of the series is a mother's long search and the secrets that stand in its way, unfolded through romantic entanglements, betrayals and reunions across 176 episodes of a single season. Its look is glossy and heightened, set in contemporary Mexico among wealthy homes, fashion houses and opulent social circles. The tone is melodramatic and emotionally intense, with sweeping romance and suspense that will appeal to fans of Rosalinda, Maria la del Barrio and Betty la fea. Viewers who enjoy long-form Latin American soap opera, with its heartache, glamour and steady stream of twists, will find this series a familiar and absorbing pleasure.
