## Synopsis

R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour (2010-2014) is a Canadian-American anthology horror-fantasy series created by R.L. Stine for Hub Network and Discovery Family. Each half hour episode presents a self-contained tale in which an ordinary character, often a child or teenager, stumbles into a supernatural situation and faces a frightening consequence. Jill Carbo (Alisen Richmond-Peck) and Henry Carbo (David Orth) appear in several episodes, and the cast rotates through the stories, so no single protagonist carries the whole run. The engine of each episode is a simple premise pushed toward an eerie final reveal, with the stakes built from everyday settings like homes, schools, and quiet neighborhoods. The series spans four seasons and seventy-six episodes, shaped as a collection of unconnected stories rather than one continuing arc. Its tone is playful and eerie, closer to campfire scares than to grim terror, with a steady current of moral comeuppance. Fans of Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Tales from the Crypt will find a similar blend of spooky fun and twist-driven storytelling.
