## Synopsis

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret (2010-2016) is a American-British sitcom created by Shaun Pye and David Cross for IFC. David Cross plays Todd Margaret, an inept American who is placed in charge of sales at his company's London branch despite having no experience with British culture or selling. His only employee is Dave (Blake Harrison), and Will Arnett plays Brent Wilts, while Sharon Horgan plays Alice Bell, adding friction to the office. The engine of the show is Todd's blind confidence colliding with a foreign workplace, and each half-hour episode opens on Todd in a dire predicament before the story rewinds to show how he arrived there. The show runs three seasons and eighteen episodes in total, following a continuing storyline. Its tone is deadpan and cringe-inducing, with humor drawn from embarrassing misjudgments and dry British corporate absurdity. Fans of The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Medium Large will find resonance in its awkward protagonist and sardonic workplace comedy.
