## Synopsis

Love It or List It (2008-present) is a Canadian-American reality home renovation series created by Catherine Fogarty and Maria Armstrong for HGTV. Realtor David Visentin (David Visentin) and designer Hilary Farr (Hilary Farr) take opposing sides as homeowners who have fallen out of love with their houses weigh a costly choice: renovate the place they have or sell it and move on. Each hour-long episode follows a family through a walkthrough, a budget-conscious pitch from each host, and a closing reveal in which the homeowners decide whether to stay or list. The engine is the emotional tug between sentiment and finances, with the hosts' friendly rivalry supplying the spark. Across seventeen seasons and hundreds of episodes the format stays consistent, making it a steady, low-stakes comfort watch. Its light, practical tone and home makeover focus draw fans of Property Brothers, House Hunters and Flip or Flop, and it suits viewers who enjoy seeing a house transformed without any dark undercurrent.
