## Synopsis

Tron: Uprising (2012-2013) is an American animated science fiction series created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for Disney XD. Set inside the digital realm of The Grid, the show follows Beck, a young program who rises to become the skillful leader of a revolution against a tyrannical system. Elijah Wood voices Beck, and Bruce Boxleitner returns as Tron, the franchise's heroic program, alongside Mandy Moore as Mara, Nate Corddry as Zed, and Lance Henriksen as Tesler. Each episode of this single-season run of eighteen half-hour installments is built around resistance missions, skirmishes with the regime's enforcers, and the slow building of a rebel movement. The engine is simple: a young program wants freedom for his world and must outwit a powerful occupier while holding a fragile alliance together. The story is set between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy, so it bridges two films in the franchise. Its look is bright and kinetic, with neon-lit architecture and glowing circuitry. The tone is earnest and adventurous, with action and camaraderie carrying the story. Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Avatar: The Last Airbender will find resonance in its youthful heroism and animated rebellion against a controlling power.
