## Synopsis

Playful Kiss (2010) is a South Korean MBC romantic comedy series created as a k-drama adaptation of a popular manga, with the title shown under the Group Eight production label. Kim Hyun-joong plays Baek Seung-jo, a brilliant and aloof high school student, while Jung So-min plays Oh Ha-ni, the clumsy classmate who falls for him only to be rejected. Lee Tae-sung plays Bong Joon-gu, a friend whose presence adds comic and romantic complication. When Ha-ni's family home collapses, she moves into the household of Seung-jo's father, a longtime friend of her own father, and the forced proximity gives her an unexpected chance to win his heart. The engine is the push and pull of a crush that refuses to be simple: small humiliations, sharp exchanges, and gradual thaws across a single season of seventeen episodes. The series is built on school hallways, shared meals and ordinary household friction, with a light, breezy atmosphere that foregrounds youthful first love and awkward sweetness. Fans of Boys Over Flowers, Itazura na Kiss and Full House will find the same blend of cool-boy charm, clumsy heroine energy and domestic romantic comedy.
