## Synopsis

The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (2010-2011) is an American web series created by Jon M. Chu for Hulu, a fantasy drama told through short ten-minute episodes across three seasons and thirty episodes. Ordinary people discover that they have extraordinary powers, and the story follows them as they navigate a mythology shaped by hope, greed, love and the forces that move everyone. Luis Rosado plays Trevor Drift and Harry Shum Jr. plays Elliot Hoo, with Roger Aaron Brown appearing as the recurring Narrator who guides the story across every episode. Rather than relying on dialogue, the series builds its drama through dance set pieces, so each episode is made of a sequence of performances that advance the larger mythology. The tone is earnest and hopeful, with a fairy-tale quality that gives the spectacle an emotional weight. Its production sits in the tradition of stylized dance cinema, and fans of Step Up and Glee will find some resonance in its blend of movement and ensemble storytelling. The result is a playful, visually inventive experiment that rewards viewers who enjoy dance and myth in equal measure.
