## Synopsis

Dan Vs. (2011-2013) is an American adult animated comedy series created by Chris Pearson and Dan Mandel for Hub Network. Dan, a short and short-tempered man voiced by Curtis Armstrong, spends his days railing against perceived injustices, whether a grudge against a fast-food chain, an untalented barber, or the entirety of Canada. His best friend Chris (Dave Foley) and Chris's undercover operative wife Elise (Paget Brewster) are usually dragged along on each revenge-filled escapade. The engine of each twenty-two-minute episode is the gap between Dan's certainty and reality, as his petty crusades escalate into elaborate schemes that rarely end well for anyone involved. The show runs for three seasons and fifty-three episodes, building its comedy from short episodes that stand on their own. Its tone is irreverent, breezy and absurd, with a sardonic streak that treats its protagonist's self-righteousness with affection rather than sympathy. Fans of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Home Movies will find a similar pleasure in crude, cartoonish grievance comedy.
