## Synopsis

Valley of the Wolves (2003-2005) is a Turkish national-television serialized crime saga created by Osman Sınav and Raci Şaşmaz for Show TV. Necati Şaşmaz plays Polat Alemdar, an undercover agent who, after years of careful preparation, works his way into the inner circle of Istanbul's most dangerous criminal organisation. Around him, Özgü Namal plays Elif Eylül, Oktay Kaynarca plays Süleyman Çakır, and Gürkan Uygun plays Memati Baş, each drawn into a web of loyalty, betrayal and shifting alliances. Across four seasons and 97 episodes of roughly ninety minutes each, the engine is the constant pressure of a double life: every meeting, every favour and every bloody reckoning threatens to expose him. The show is built from long operations, criminal negotiations and clashes between rival gangs, and it keeps returning to the uneasy relationship between the state, the mafia and power. Set in contemporary Istanbul, its mood is tense, morally weary and often brutal, with patriotic fervour and political commentary running beneath the action. Fans of The Wire, Gomorrah and Narcos will find resonance in its layered criminal politics and its serialized undercover intrigue.
