## Synopsis

Medium (2005-2011) is an American network crime drama series created by Glenn Gordon Caron for NBC and CBS. Patricia Arquette stars as Allison Dubois, a Phoenix district attorney's office worker whose intuition about people and ability to communicate with the dead let her help solve cases. Her dreams often reveal the whereabouts of missing people, giving each episode its investigative hook. Jake Weber plays Joe Dubois, her husband, while Miguel Sandoval appears as Manuel Devalos and David Cubitt as Lee Scanlon, all anchoring the household and the office. The seven-season run, spanning 128 episodes, mixes case-of-the-week procedural structure with an ongoing family saga about raising children while carrying an unusual gift. The atmosphere is intimate and melancholic, with dream sequences and a sense of emotional weight beneath the investigations. Fans of Ghost Whisperer, The Mentalist and other paranormal crime dramas will find resonance in its blend of supernatural insight and domestic drama. Set in contemporary Phoenix, Arizona, the series keeps its focus on the human cost of seeing what others cannot.
