## Synopsis

Eek! The Cat (1992-1997) is an American animated comedy created by Savage Steve Holland for FOX, with the series also airing on YTV and Fox Kids. Eek the cat anchors the show, with his towering girlfriend Annabelle (voiced by Tawny Kitaen) and the vicious but lovable sharkdog Sharky joining him as principal companions alongside Elmo the elk. Their everyday schemes and absurd misadventures drive each short episode, while the Terrible Thunderlizards repeatedly scheme to wipe out the cavemen Bill and Scooter, and the oddball Klutter keeps the cast unpredictable. The series spans five seasons and 112 fifteen-minute episodes, each a self-contained run of slapstick gags rather than a serialized arc. Its register is cheerful, loud and goofy, with a playful, anything-goes energy in the tradition of classic Saturday morning cartoons. Fans of Tom and Jerry, Animaniacs and The Flintstones will find similar pleasures in its chaotic cartoon comedy and rowdy animal antics.
