## Synopsis

American Dragon: Jake Long (2005-2007) is a US Disney Channel animated coming of age comedy-action series created by Jeff Goode. Thirteen-year-old Jake Long (voiced by Dante Basco) is a skateboarding New York tween trying to balance school, friends, and family life while secretly mastering his mystical powers as the American Dragon. His best friend Spud (Charlie Finn) and classmate Trixie Carter (Kelley Troy) stay close to his everyday world, while his parents and his grandfather Lao Shi (Keone Young) watch over his training. The engine of each episode is the collision between ordinary adolescence and supernatural duty: a magical creature needs protecting, a rival hunter threatens the balance, and Jake must cover his tracks before anyone notices. Across two seasons of 55 episodes, the show keeps a light, breezy energy with plenty of playful banter and gentle comedy, while building a continuing thread around Jake's growing responsibilities. Its look is bright, colorful, and kid friendly. Fans of Kim Possible, Teen Titans, and The Legend of Korra will find resonance in its blend of teen life, action, and East Asian myth.
