## Synopsis

Falling Skies (2011-2015) is an American science fiction drama series created by Robert Rodat for TNT. Set six months after an alien invasion has left most of the world incapacitated, the series follows former history professor Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a former college professor turned militia strategist, as he joins citizen soldiers sheltering survivors outside the ruined cities. Alongside him are field medic Dr. Anne Glass (Moon Bloodgood) and the resistance captain Daniel Weaver (Will Patton), whose tactical choices keep the group alive. Each episode is built from concrete tasks: scavenging supplies, running ambushes against the occupying force, and protecting children and families who depend on the camp. The show runs across five seasons of serialized storytelling, with a continuing arc rather than standalone cases. Its tone is grim and urgent, with moments of hope and loyalty that give the battles emotional weight. The atmosphere is one of exhaustion and endurance, a world stripped of ordinary comforts. Fans of Battlestar Galactica and V will find resonance in its blend of alien conflict, human resilience, and the strain of holding a family together under occupation.
