## Synopsis

House of Anubis (2011-2013) is a British-American family mystery series created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst for Nickelodeon. Nina Martin (Nathalia Ramos), a recent American transfer, is thrust into the gloomy English boarding house called House of Anubis when popular student Joy Mercer (Klariza Clayton) goes missing. Nina teams up with her friendly housemate Fabian Rutter (Brad Kavanagh) and the rest of the students to investigate the strange happenings: a cranky caretaker with a creepy stuffed crow, and an attic that may be haunted. Each episode layers small clues, suspicious characters and red herrings onto a continuing puzzle that stretches across three seasons and roughly 190 episodes. The tone stays gentle and wholesome, with spooky atmosphere kept light for younger viewers, while the mystery draws on Egyptian mythology. Fans of Harry Potter, Nancy Drew and Goosebumps will find the same mix of youthful friendship, boarding school intrigue and soft supernatural suspense.
