## Synopsis

Gentle Ben (1967-1969) is an American family series created for CBS. Game warden Tom Wedloe (Dennis Weaver) raises his wife Ellen, son Mark (Clint Howard) and a tame grizzly bear named Ben in the Florida Everglades. Across two seasons and fifty-six half-hour episodes, the stories revolve around everyday wildlife problems, neighbors and the frontier challenges of wilderness life, with the bear's gentle nature at the center of each adventure. Henry Boomhauer (Rance Howard) and Jody Cutler (Ron Howard) add warmth as local characters. The tone is wholesome, sunny and nostalgic, with a steady emphasis on family loyalty and the bond between people and animals. Viewers who enjoy Flipper, Lassie and Daktari will find the same gentle wildlife-family charm here. The series is set in the Florida Everglades during the late 1960s, presented as a simple, warm family adventure suited to all ages.
