## Synopsis

Ringer (2011-2012) is an American network thriller series created for The CW, a single-season serialized mystery that ran 22 episodes of about forty minutes each before it was canceled. Sarah Michelle Gellar stars in a dual role as Bridget Kelly, a recovering addict who witnesses a murder and flees to New York, and her wealthy twin sister Siobhan Martin, who vanishes soon after their long-strained reunion. Bridget assumes Siobhan's identity to stay alive, but she quickly discovers that the glamorous life hides dangerous secrets. Kristoffer Polaha, Ioan Gruffudd and Nestor Carbonell play figures tangled in that world, while Mike Colter adds further pressure. Each episode tightens a web of lies, blackmail and conspiracy, with Bridget improvising under pressure while trying to keep her fragile sobriety intact. The mood is glossy and tense, with a neo-noir edge set against Manhattan's upper-class world. Fans of Alias and The Parent Trap will find resonance in its twin mystery, its sleek thriller pacing and its impostor drama.
